Requirements to apply to receive assistance:
Must have played, been a buddy, or is a sibling of a player or buddy during the 2019 season
Players can be any age. Buddies and siblings of players or buddies must be 18u.
Gifts will not be wrapped or delivered. There will be specified times where parents can come to the Miracle League of the South Hills office to pick up the gifts from their Angels. We will email you when your pick up is ready.
We will provide each family with wrapping paper and tape to take home too!
Deadline to apply is Friday, December 6th at 5pm.
Requirements to apply to be an Angel in the Outfield:
You can choose to be an Angel in the Outfield for 1-8 kids in need
You will be given a specific child with descriptions of needs/wants on Monday, December 9th.
Gifts must be brought to the Miracle League of the South Hills office by Monday, December 16th.
If you would like a donation receipt for tax purposes, please make sure to keep all receipts of gifts purchased and turn them into executive director Tim Gebhart when you drop off your gifts.
Applications to be an Angel will remain open until all children have been sponsored.
2019 Miracle League Gives Back Results
1. Awarded $2,000 in scholarships for a player to go to summer camp and a volunteer's college tuition 2. Collecting School Supplies during the weekends of June 22/23 and August 16-18 - $4,000 donated 3. Sent baseball equipment and jerseys to Venezuelan refugees in Peru 4. Providing gifts and needs to families during the holidays through our Angels in the Outfield Program
2018 Miracle League Gives Back Results
Donated baseball equipment to the Josh Gibson Foundation, Holy Family Academy, and a few others with our partners 93.7 The Fan and Under Armour.
Donated 500 lbs. food and clothes to SHIM food bank with our sponsors Neishloss and Fleming
Establishing a scholarship fund for college scholarships and for players to participate in summer camps
Supported the Watson Institute and flood victims of Bridgeville during their fundraiser events
Started the Angels in the Outfield Program providing gifts to families in need during the holidays
2017 Miracle League Gives Back Results
MLSH families donated 700 lbs. of food to SHIM food bank with our sponsors Neishloss and Fleming
Stuffed 750 bags with the Pittsburgh Pirates Front Office staff to give to families living with cancer
Donated $2,595.19 to the Miracle League of Houston to help with their hurricane relief efforts
