Requirements:
1. Everyone in the group must be a minimum of 12+ years old
2. Minimum number of 5 volunteers per group with a maximum of 15 volunteers per group

Volunteer Photographers

Do you love to take pictures? Come volunteer with us! We are looking for people to photograph our All-Stars as they circle the bases, play some defense, smile with their buddy, & sometimes even during a game of duck-duck-goose! Slots are available in two hour increments.

Must be 16 years old or older. 18+ years need a background check (See below).

The Miracle League of the South Hills will provide you with a camera.* The volunteer can check out the camera from the concession stand when they arrive and return it when they are completed with their shift.

Volunteer photographers are allowed to go on the field during game play to get some of those great action shots!

The Miracle League of the South Hills owns the rights to all photos taken by the volunteer photographer. To comply with our insurance requirements, child protection laws, and our media waiver, all photos will remain in possession of the Miracle League of the South Hills.

Coaching Opportunities

Do you have an hour or two to spare each week in the spring and fall? No angry competition. Just fun! You don’t have to know much about baseball. You just need a heart for the players and a compassionate, enthusiastic spirit. It’s the most rewarding coaching experience you’ll ever have.

Coach Guidelines
  • Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a week during the season
  • Ensure a safe playing environment.
  • A Coach is an important volunteer position in the Miracle League. It is probably one of the most rewarding, too.
  • A Coach is responsible for all aspects of their team including communicating with parents, players, and buddies.
  • Attending every game during the season*
  • Assigning buddies to a player or game day job during a game.
  • Coaches are responsible for everything that happens inside of the fence on the field.
  • All Coaches must pass a criminal background and child abuse background check
  • Coordinate team activities with the coaching staff and maintain contact with players and families.
  • Ensure that each player receives a uniform.
  • Communicate concerns regarding specific players to the League officials.
  • Provide copies of team line-up to the announcer before each game.
  • Make sure players have the opportunity to learn new skills.
  • Keep up the team spirit!
