All new athletes must play in the Miracle Division for at least one season before being considered for the Advanced Skills Division so our staff can evaluate your athlete.

  • Defensive players can’t run to a base or tag a runner to get an offensive player out unless they are the defensive player assigned to that position
    • Example 1: The 2nd baseman can’t run to 1st base to get the runner out. They have to throw the ball to the 1st baseman
    • Example 2: The shortstop can run to tag 2nd base because they are playing the middle infield, but can’t run to 3rd base. They must throw it to the 3rd baseman
    • Outfielders must stay in the outfield 
    • Infielders must start in the dirt color...no playing in for any hitter until the ball is hit
    • Pitchers must start in the pitchers circle until the ball is hit. They must use their teammates to record an out unless it is to tag a runner going from 3rd to home (runner is safe if the pitcher doesn't start within the pitcher's circle).
    • NEW: ONLY 12 DEFENSIVE PLAYERS ON THE FIELD AT ONE TIME. 6 IN THE OUTFIELD AND 6 IN THE INFIELD.

No Drop Off Policy: A family member or staff (aide) is required to be at all Miracle League of the South Hills activities when your athlete is present. This policy is for children and adults. The family member or staff is responsible for the athlete in case of emergency or any situation where that athlete needs to be one-on-one with another person (i.e. bathroom breaks or emergencies).
